In 1984 I won a
poetry competition with a collection of some of my shorter
poems. This work was regarded by Edwin Morgan (Scotland's
poet laureat at the time) as the best poetry writing of the
time. This is a re-issue of that book.
I have been living
either in Spain, or next door in Portugal for most of my
life. These poems date from my first visits in the sixties
right up till last year. The longer poems are available in
audio format. The audio is FREE when you buy the book.
I used to live in
Cairo and made several trips up and down the Nile, and as
far as Addis Ababa, South Sudan, and across to the Central
African Republic. These poems tell the tale.
